Another SKA Gold for one of our fitouts…

We have recently completed a collaboration with our Professional Association, The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) – the design and build of their new office 3 Arlington Square, Downshire Way, Bracknell, RG12 1WA – and together we have achieved a highly prized SKA Gold certification.“The RICS SKA rating is the professional benchmark that helps landlords and tenants assess fit-out projects against a rigorous set of sustainability and good practice criteria.” Said Curve Workplaces Operations Director Tim Sheen MCIOB.“To achieve a Gold stand, which means a score of over 75%, is difficult to achieve, and it demonstrates that we take sustainability seriously.” He added.Our CAT B work included fitting out part of the ground floor, including the reuse and installation of new partitions, decorations, flooring, doors, electrical, and lighting alterations – along with mechanical refurbishments.“On the one hand our Senior Lead Designer Deborah Leach’s scheme was inspiring to work with, particularly with its strong emphasis on the benefits of the key circular economy principles such as minimising environmental impact and reusing materials and furniture.” Said Scott Ellis Project Manager at Curve.“On the other it was terrific to collaborate with a client who truly entrusted us with their new office.
