Curve's 5th birthday - part 3

For our final installment celebrating Curve’s 5th birthday, here is Paul Scott, who joined the team in September 2017, as one of the business’ first hires…“I was hugely excited about the opportunity to work alongside Andrew Wilkinson again, as he’d had such an influential role in my earlier career. Joining Andy, Michael Potter and Mark Bessant felt like a great ‘fit’, and a business that I instinctively knew I was going to really enjoy working at.My original role was a classic split of networking and sales. I was then tasked with securing more landlord work, and in May 2019 we went live with the ‘landlord’ project. My current role as Account Director ensures we’re managing all relationships with our landlord clients’ along with consultants and agents.Launching the landlord team, was of huge importance to Curve and a milestone in the company’s journey, which I’m especially proud of. We weren’t entirely sure what this would look like, but within a couple of months, we were involved with our first Cat A+ project and have continued to have an influential role in shaping this market. The relationships we’ve built with some of the industry’s leading funds and asset management companies including Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) and Aberdeen Standard Investments, who all entrust us with delivering their schemes, has been incredibly fulfilling.We’ve seen a spectacular increase in turnover during these last 5 years, which wouldn’t have been possible without recruiting a team of very talented individuals, enabled by our strong and decisive management board. I work closely with Mark Bradburn, Calvin Williams and Craig Lamden, all of whom have added layers of depth and dynamism to our approach, and operationally, Tim Sheen MCIOB joining us has been a ‘game-changer’. Our ‘can do’ attitude, and resilience, particularly throughout this pandemic, has been nothing short of remarkable.Curve’s brand awareness and the continued ‘buzz’ surrounding us seems truly magnetic. A massive thanks to everyone who has supported us so far. I can’t wait for the next 5 year to unfold…”
